Coronavirus: notice to customers

As you are aware, this contagious virus is spreading quickly now across the world and is already starting to impact on family, friends and customers. The World Health Organisation say there is no evidence that pets, such as cats or dogs, can be infected with coronavirus, so our main concern is the spread of the infection among humans.

I thought it might help to clarify terms and conditions, together with the measures we are putting in place to ensure we can care for your dogs and protect the humans who come into contact with us. Although the risk of infection may be low, we cannot afford to be unwell, not least because our own two daxies and your sausage dogs depend on us to look after them!

  • We already adhere to a strict cleaning regime as part of the regulations, but are additionally using hand sanitiser.
  • As a precaution, when dropping off and picking up, we would kindly ask ALL customers to wait at the front door (rather than come in); we will bring your dogs and their belongings to you. Please message us to let us know what time you are arriving to drop off/pick-up.
  • If you require an introduction visit/tour of our home, you will be asked to wash/sanitise your hands on arrival.
  • As per standard T&Cs, long-stay bookings require a £200 non-refundable deposit up front to secure your holiday booking.
  • If you cancel your holiday within four weeks (short cancellation notice), you will be charged the full amount due. We do sympathise that this is undoubtedly a difficult time for you, but please try to consider our perspective. We run a business, have bills to pay (like everyone else) and have most likely turned away other business to reserve your booking. If everyone cancelled without paying, we would go out of business pretty quickly. If you are advised not to go by the Health Authority or your trip is cancelled by your travel agent, you will be able to claim back the money you have spent from your insurance company
  • In the event that you cancel your trip with enough notice (over 28 days), we won’t charge the full fee but will retain the deposit.
  • It is essential that you ensure any emergency contact details are correct and up-to-date. In the event that you are delayed from returning from your trip due to the Coronavirus, we require the details of someone that will collect your dog/s and look after them until your return. We will always try to accommodate your dogs; however, this may not be possible. Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity to hold onto your dog/s for an unlimited period of time and our license will not allow us to go over our numbers, neither will our insurance. If we do not have an emergency contact willing to take your dog/s, we will need to place your dog into a local kennels at your cost.
  • Please let us know if your trip does involve travelling to a country that already has the Virus, we can then make sure that we have everything in place just in case other arrangements are required at short notice.
  • If you frequently travel, please ensure you a taking notice of all the advice being given out with regards personal safety, hygiene and isolation, taking every precaution.
